The front sight dovetail cut is made using Brownells .245” x 60° sight insert cutter (carbide cutter highly recommend).
- Mill the existing front blade off down to the rib
- Drop down .030” and mill off the rib about .375” back from the front of the slide
- Center up on that flat (front to rear) with the dovetail cutter zeroed depth wise
- Drop down .045 - .050” and cut the dovetail slot
